Here come the holidays!..........soon

Over the years, I have collected several things to embroider from gifts by friends and family or by seeing and can't living without it purchasing. I have had this set of fall/thanksgiving table runner and napkin set for many years. With fall coming on, I am in the mood to get stitching.
I have all of the colors ready and as you can see they are so vibrant and fall festive! I can't wait!

I have a wonderful friend who gives her free time to the local kennel club. There is so much that goes into getting a dog show ready for a local town. She and the other members work tirelessly at making sure every thing is done to the very best. Of course, she is a big dog lover. I am stitching this picture up for her kennel club as a door prize for the up coming show next year. After I finish stitching it, she will take it to be framed. It will then go into a drawing to be given away to someone who loves dogs and the dog shows. So I will work on this along with my holiday stitching. My needles never get a rest! What kind of decoration do you like for your table? A pretty tablecloth or runner, or perhaps a pretty floral arrangement? I would love to hear!

Hi Kathleen, I'm anxious for fall too. I love the the runner and the rich autumn colors you'll be using. I'm stitching a fall piece and it is coming right along...can't wait to till it's finished.

I love to put vintage runners or a crochet pieces on my tabel along with flowers and sometimes candles. For my table at Christmas I have old family hurricane oil lamps, I use bows and greens and add them to the lamps and around the base of each one. Yikes, now I'm getting excited about Christmas:). Have a happy evening...hugs, Linda

Oh, I can't wait for Fall.... I LOVE to put the colors out all over my house. I have a pretty fall patchwork tablecloth with gorgeous little pumpkins on it, and dish towels, pot holders... and on the outside, Hubby always dresses up the old Hay rake with some cornstalks and mums. I'm so excited!! I'll just be glad for those cool mornings most of all!

I am soooo ready for fall. I bought some things at yard sales today--mostly for Christmas but some fall. I bought some beautiful pillowslips with the tatting. I can embroider but tatting? Grandma didn't teach me that....
Seems like I may have mentioned this before.

Oh I love that runner and napkins set - the colors are just glorious! And whoever wins the doggie cross stitched picture will be a very lucky person. I just hope it goes to someone who will appreciate that it was hand stitched.
