Embroidery Shop Update

Hello everyone! I am back after my Christmas break. I hope this finds that all of you had a wonderful holiday! I made the most of my time while I was away from the computer. I burned a lot of midnight oil on my getting things ready to sell in my embroidery shop soon. From finishing a crochet rug, starting a set of pillowcases, to finishing this little towel which would be wonderful in the kitchen or for guests in the bathroom.

The cold, dusty wind is making me long for spring and the wildflowers that grow on the prairie. I chose a bouquet to embroider with a towel in all hues of purple and lavender. With a hint of blue forget-me-nots.
I am hoping that if you click on the pictures, you will get a better view of the stitches and colors in the towel. I am not that great at taking pictures yet. {:

I still have pillowcases, dish towel/dish cloth sets, and more little towels like this to finish before I can open my shop. I know a lot of you like roses...... what else would you like to see in linens? I would love to embroider what you are searching for in design and color. Leave a comment and let me know. After all, the embroidery is for all of you to enjoy! Hope to hear from you! ..... one more note..... thank you, Paula at Fraker Farmhttp://frakerfarm.blogspot.com for the wonderful video and pretty Christmas card. I have enjoyed the video so much!

And thank you Ginny, at Gingerbreads House http://gingerbreadshouse.blogspot.com for the beautiful embroidered linens.

I will treasure them always! love and blessings, Kathleen

Welcome back - if you are getting the same cold gusty wind we are getting - brrrrr. Since you asked - bluebonnets and indian paint brush! I love the lavenders and blues in what you have on the checked guest towel but it would be cool to see some Texas flowers - what do you think? Your work is SO beautiful - give me a kitchen in which to cook and that is about the closest I come to any artistry!

Good afternnoon! Thanks for stopping by. I love all flowers but daisies and roses are my favorite. Do you always do flowers? I really like decorative scrolly type things. Don't know how else to describe it...

Kathleen, that towel is absolutely gorgeous! The colors and design are just perfect. I could just decorate an entire room around that one little towel.

One of my boys bought me a set of pillow slips to embroider. It is a southern bell design and I'm goign to stitch it all in yellows to match a quilt that my mom made for me. Looks like I'll be learning some new stitches and I'm so excited!

Smiles,
Lea

Hi Kathleen,
Happy New Year! Thank you for visiting my blog and commenting on my Christmas stitching gifts - I knew you would agree with me about taking elderly ladies' advice about embroidery!
I just love your combination of embroidering lavender over the gingham towel - very creative. I'll be coming back again soon to visit your etsy shop and see what else you've been making. I wish I could stitch as fast as you...well, maybe it isn't your speed, but just that you have more time than me?!

I love the violets on this, violets come out around my birthday and have always been one of my favorite flowers. Your work is so beautful!
