A pocketfull of colorful stitched strawberries

stuffed into a heart stitched pocket

make up the "Spring" design for the Seasonal Clothesline I have been working on these past few weeks.

Then, a handful of picked daisies..........

along with that same delightful little bluebird found in all of the designs,

with an old fashioned bonnet, make up the "Summer" design.

As you have already seen in previous posts,
the "Fall " design.........

and the "Winter " design...........
have already been stitched.

Now the set is complete and the clothesline is ready to hang. Not only was the bluebird present, a heart found it's way into each design as well.
This set is just so decorative and eye catching that  I stitched another set to sell in my Etsy shop.
If you would like to browse my Etsy shop, I have some embroidery items for sale............just click onto the link below.
There is just something about clotheslines and the era before the old faithful dryer, that makes everyone stop and smile back on that time.
I still have a clothesline, I love to hang fresh washed sheets and pillowcases out on it. Nothing can beat that fresh air fragrance.
How about you? Do you remember Mom or Grandma hanging clothes on the line???
Do you use a clothesline now and then?
I would love to hear!

These are just beautiful!! Will you frame them? I am wondering, would a cross stitched pocket work on a cotton apron?

Yes, I use a clothes line every time I wash jeans and usually hang out sheets too. I'd hate to live in an area where they were looked down on!

Such beautiful Patterns and stitching!
I love to use my clothesline. Though I don't use it as often as I did when the kids were little. I even dried their cloth diapers on the line! Now it is used for sheets, quilts and blankets. (I never liked towels dried on the line- too stiff!)

A bonnet and an apron -- lovely! I was trying to think of something woolen to go along with the sock and the mitten -- silly me! I love your stitchings and they will be so beautiful hung side by side. I so rely on my dryer because I wash a load just about every day. and when coming back from vacation, it sure comes it handy to get things washed and dried quickly. Some people hang their clothes out here but my word, they come in feeling rough and scratchy because of the heat. Plus, never know when there is gonna be dust. :/ Hope you have a beautiful day. What a gorgeous set! I have heard that a lot of Americans don't use clotheslines at all, and I can understand that in your winters with the snow - nothing would ever dry outside! I use my clothesline all year round here in Australia, as we have enough sunshine most days. On the cloudy or wet days, I hang washing up on a folding clothesline under the patio roof so it is still dried in the fresh air. Mind you, I've got an electric clothes dryer for emergencies ;-)

You are amazing! I can't believe how quickly you got those done. It would have taken me two years! Everything you make is sooo pretty!
