Christmas is only a few days away............

and I am sure most of you are either busy in you kitchens
mixing up all kinds of goodies............
or maybe you are busily stitching away at special stockings.......
or even a handmade gift or two?
I am right there along with you...........I have been mixing, baking, taste testing
and decorating............

I just now have the gifts gathered up and I need to get them wrapped and put under the tree before Salem decides to make this his permanent resting place.

I have also been busy stitching. Last year, I stitched a dresser scarf like this and decided to make another. I still need to work a crocheted edge around it.............
should I crochet it in red...........or maybe a white edging would be pretty??

I found this vintage vase to go along with it..............
just perfect for the holiday season,
don't you think?
So tell me,
what are you doing to get ready for this time of year.........
are you preparing to cook a large feast...........
are you decorating all through the house?
I would love to hear!

The dresser scarf is beautiful, Kathleen... and I would gladly volunteer to be a taste tester for all those Christmas goodies!! *giggle*
I've finished decorating, and we don't have family coming to our house to eat... so I just spend my days leading up to Christmas working on small gifts for the little ones in the family. :)

I do love your embroidered poinsettia runner...hmmm..red or white crochet...maybe variegated red/white...col...that's the solution of an undecided person. Red would be pretty and accent the flowers.

Yes, as you've seen, I've actually been able to create some fun things for Christmas. I just made another today and will be posting it.

Enjoy a lovely Christmas season and day,

Marianne xo

Your dresser scarf is gorgeous. I'm afraid I can't help you choose the crochet color - every time I look at it I change my mind. I hope you post another pic when the crochet is done.
Smiles to you.

Gorgeous embroidered runner. I think a red crocheted edge would set it off beautifully.
We've never had Christmas at home as it's always been at the in-laws, but this year hubby is just not well enough to spend half the day driving around Melbourne in chaotic traffic, so we are going to spend Christmas
day at home. Just the two of us. If it is a nice day we may take a cold turkey salad and fruit cake picnic up in the hills.

The poinsettia dresser scarf is so pretty. What color did you decide to use for the crocheted edge? Our kitties like to snooze under the tree, too. As long as they don't climb, I don't mind.

I love your poinsettia embroidery and no matter what colors you choose your work is excellent !

Do you offer your header embroidery as a pattern for sale ? Would you, could you ? ! ? I'd buy the pattern for sure. Every time I click onto this blog I spend a fair amount of time studying it.

What am I doing besides blogging right now ? My husband & I spent the weekend with our grandchildren , baking Christmas cookies, decorating out tree together, watching Christmas specials. Now I am cleaning up, catching up with you and planning the rest of my Christmas to-do list .A busy and fun time, isn't it ?

I'll be doing some major christmas baking this weekend. I absolutely LOVE your poinsettia runner. Will you, pretty please, be making the pattern available for sale? As for the edging, I think it would be really pretty with a variegated red/white crochet thread but regardless of what you chose, it will only enhance your beautiful embroidery.

Have a wonderful Christmas ~
