I am not just merely done.....................

I'm really, really, really, done!
It was a little over a year ago, when I found a vintage linen , luncheon tablecloth and napkin set in a plastic bag in the back of a junk store.
As soon as I got it home, I transferred morning glory flower clusters on each corner,
and began hand embroidering it.  I would work on it for a little while, get side tracked with life........and other embroidery projects.........come back to it and embroider it some more.
Finally about 8 weeks before the holidays, I started stitching on it non stop.

Finally, I made my last stitch in the early morning hours yesterday.

I embroidered the flowers in blue, and shades of purple/ lavender to match the stripes and border of the tablecloth.

I also drew vines with morning glory buds to tie the corners together in the design.

I embroidered each napkin in each of the colors I chose for the tablecloth.

Whoever buys this set ........if they look hard enough.......will find my signature.......
I always sign my work in thread.........somewhere.

Now it is a pretty and cheery set.  I am so glad to have it finished.
Now on to the next project!

Kathleen...Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, my friend. It's been a whirlwind here with work, and then getting some much needed time off for the holidays and rest. I actually was able to get some Christmas cookies baked this year.

The tablecloth set is beautiful, as usual. I love the light purple edgings and the morning glories adorning it. You are so very talented.

I'm thinking of ways I can make my blog more creative, fun and interactive. So for right now I'm simply talking about a new book. But I am looking forward to getting the blog back to its original leisurely place for others to enjoy.

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and you new year is full of good health, prosperity and blessings around every bend.

Hugs and love,
Marianne xox
