I love to watch " old couples" walking together,

holding hands.........dining together.
They hold a sense of "what life is really about"
to me.........

today I played with the rocks I gather while on long walks with my dog
Sophie. Some I toss into my gardens.......but some just speak to me
especially when I find rocks that are shaped like hearts.........
I cannot toss them
So I made a married couple........who start out on their path which
is very bumpy and rocky.......

but through the years........the path gets more smooth
as they hold on to each other
and
their love for each other grows more and more.
I titled this piece........." Just Old Married Folk"
How about you?  Do you collect rocks?  .....or shells?
I would love to hear!

Oh my, this piece touches my heart. My dear husband and I wished to grow old together and we were on the road, but 3 1/2 years ago he went to be with God. He was days away from his 65th bday, I was 63.

This is a sweet creation of yours, thanks for sharing.

I collect rocks and shells and anything that resembles a heart. DH used to bring me ones he found too.

This is such a sweet piece. Yes, I collect rocks!! as you probably know because I know that you have visited my blog! It's funny how many times you can find a heart in nature and I surely keep the heart ones too. I like your rock people plaque. I'd hang that on my wall for sure.
xx, Carol

It's very sweet!

Yes-I do collect rocks, sticks, leaves, nests, empty or fallen bird's eggs,---somehow I've managed to keep it all organized and neat, but I still know where to find it!

This is just precious, Kathleen! Great work, as usual!
I guess I have a rock collection; I've carried LOTS of rocks from the woods to put around flower beds. :)

I haven't ever thought about gathering rocks, but this is a really cute idea!

Very sweet! Love seeing couples who still clearly love each other after so many years together. And by so many, I mean like 75 years. :) It's a wonderful thing. And yep, I do collect rocks and shells and all sorts of things when I'm out and about.

Such a beautiful post, I loved seeing what you made from your stroll along the beach. A lot of the finds when we walk are made into projects by the Grandchildren, paperweights been a popular choice.
