You shinned it up "real pretty"! We still have the same piano our children used and now our grandchildren make sweet music on it! My husband is training to become a Registered Piano Technician (RPT) big word for a piano tuner when he retires to keep busy! He is loving it!

There is nothing like walking down the street and hearing sweet music coming out of someones home!

Do you remember the movie "Meet Me in St.Lousie"? Love the music in that one!

Have a wonderful day dear friend!

Hugs,
MaryjaneMaryjane-The Beehive Cottagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10354830882985221688noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-268529800904221520.post-89339127189942178112008-06-26T19:50:00.000-07:002008-06-26T19:50:00.000-07:00Your piano looks right at home. I too have an old violin on the wall... neither one of us can play it but I think it's just pretty. Our other "babies" stay in the closet until Hubby and I get the urge to "pick"- Hubby's mandolin, the guitar my Daddy gave me, and my dobro stay snug in their cases. Bertha, my upright bass, stays in the corner collecting dust.
(And boy, can she collect dust!!)Paulahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02693565002250035794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-268529800904221520.post-27260094817673060342008-06-23T21:36:00.000-07:002008-06-23T21:36:00.000-07:00Its so beautiful and does look perfectly at home. ...Its so beautiful and does look perfectly at home. I refinished it into an antique finish (the going thing then). When we were transfered from Memphis to LR, I had to leave the old piano behind. I felt as though I was leaving one of my children behind. I actually grieved over that piano. I did purchase an almost new Baldwin after we got settled. I still have it, but I do occasionally remember my first one. With that said, I'm glad you have it in your home again. No home that loves music should be without one.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-268529800904221520.post-81863428118476668022008-06-23T11:48:00.000-07:002008-06-23T11:48:00.000-07:00Hi Judy, the violin, is extremely old. I also have a banjo a mandolin, and six string and 12 string guitar. They are now put away with long ago dreams of being a song writer , yet I have no regrets.{:Yesteryear Embroiderieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15811251599118118561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-268529800904221520.post-10591631805278915232008-06-23T11:46:00.000-07:002008-06-23T11:46:00.000-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Yesteryear Embroiderieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15811251599118118561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-268529800904221520.post-35605618617845271092008-06-23T11:42:00.000-07:002008-06-23T11:42:00.000-07:00I think I see a violin on the wall. I can play the piano a little but played the violin up to a few years ago.
Judypapel1https://www.blogger.com/profile/17857244375483965314noreply@blogger.com
