with the word "GLOVES" written across the side in black magic marker.
Gloves for the garden, for outside work and for those once in a while snow storms in Texas, are within it. Going through it, I found a pair of tiny woolen mittens, the pair connected with the yarn string..........once worn by one of our children...........long ago, when they were once very small. Such a sweet remembrance of sweet family times.............so long ago, yet it seems like it was just yesterday.
I really enjoyed stitching this second part of the "seasonal clothesline" . As you remember, in the last post, I showed you the fall design.............this is the winter design. I am almost through with the spring design and will be showing it to you next week............can you guess what the item might be?. I am really enjoying this cross stitch pattern. I can't wait to get all 4 pictures cross stitched and framed to hang in my laundry room.
How about you?
Do you have mittens or baby clothes saved from your little ones?
Maybe even shoes or little hair bows?
I would love to hear!
I do have clothes saved: things they wore home from the hospital, first day of school dresses, etc. I've kept them, hoping the girls would want them someday, but they haven't shown an interest yet.
ReplyDeleteYour cross stitching projects inspired me to get mine out and at least look at them. I'm quilting now.
Such a cute pattern!
ReplyDeleteYes, I've kept quite a few baby clothes, and even some little mittens. I'm very sentimental when it comes to my boys. When our grandson was born this summer, my DIL went through the boxes and picked out a few things to use. I almost didn't want to see them go! But it will be fun to see them on little Tad.
Have a great Labor Day!
Cindy
I do have things that I've saved -- the shoes that they wore when they first learned how to walk, their favorite stuffed toys, a tiny little white onesie, some of the outfits that they looked prettiest and/or cuddliest in. I've learned to put them all in an archival box, otherwise my husband seems bound and determined to use them for rags to wipe up his grease spills!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, you work fast. Both designs are so beautiful. I wonder what will be hanging from the line for spring. :)
ReplyDeleteI have saved my boys first baby clothes, tiny shoes and socks -- they ask why as they just don't get it. I had much more saved but decided to get rid of it when one of the maids at school was having a baby. At least I knew they were going to someone in need.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Best wishes, Tammy
