The weeds have been picked.................
The pumpkins are growing....................
This leaves the day................................
For stitching and sewing!.....................
Kathleen

How about you? Are you finished with your outside work...............at least for the day?
Are you wanting to stay in and create?
Here is a lovely vintage design.............that I am hoping ...........if you click onto , you will be able to print it off.
If you do get to work with it, I would love to see and hear about it!

  1. Sweet poem and a wonderful design. My morning work is finished but a lot of it is to do over in the late afternoon: feed the calf its bottle, check chickens, etc.; typical farm life.

    Your linens are beautiful!

  3. I'm painting - still!, but taking a break right now. Last night I embroidered the third baby's name onto the slip of a Christening dress I made for my friend four years - and three babies - ago. - I'm going to post about this dress next week - I have had several requests for photos.

  4. Thank you for the design. I would love to work on it when I get time:)
It's raining here now, so, yes, I'm going to sit and stitch. (I worked all day in the gardens yesterday, so I'm feeling pretty smug!)

  5. Kathleen, I love your poem. I don't know about finishing my chores, but I just awoke from a well needed nap.

Your embroidery always makes me want to do some again. Maybe this pretty pattern will be just the thing. Oh, I just have so many wonderfully creative things I want to complete. I was almost going to say that I don't have the time..but I know I must speak what I want, not what is. So, "I have all the time I need to create all that I want". How's that?...COL...

Enjoy the day, and thank you for visiting.

    Blessings,
    Marianne

  7. What a delightfully inspiring blog. I am following you as of today. I found you over at Nurdans blog. You're desgins are gorgeous and although I am a cross-stitcher myself I am interested to try other types of embroidery too. It will be lovely to get some ideas from you.

  12. So much to do....so little time! My sewing machine is broken and I haven't finished paying for the new one. Been doing some hand-work but nothing pretty. I have a piece of embroidery Mom started and then tired of that I may finish and use in a quilt later with some odds and ends squares. I can't see the pattern because of my computer, but planning on replacing that soon too! :-) Hope you are having a wonderful week!

  13. Cute poem. My work never seems to be done but some days I choose not to do much more than necessary. Today is one of those days. Working on small, simple cross-stitch patterns at the moment. Crochet always. :) Wishing you a great day. Tammy
