is famous for being the ultimate natural weakness of Superman and
has since become synonymous with an Achilles' heel.
The poor man was helpless around it...................
Here is my "kryptonite".................
chocolate covered cherries........on vintage dishes...........
linen, floss, and new stitching in progress...........
What can I say ?.............I am hopeless and helpless around these things............
How about you??
What is your "kryptonite"??
I would love to hear!
Looks like it's going to be awesome!!! :-) Thanks for your comment on my stitching on my quilt blog, too! I'm glad to be working on a project! I pick up our grandson from school three times a week, sometimes four, help him with his homework, make sure he gets his chores done, then play a game with him or he'll watch cartoons. He isn't allowed to play video games anymore during the week, but if he's watching cartoons, I get out my embroidery! It's a nice thing to do while I watch him till around five or six when his Mom gets home.
ReplyDeleteFabric, in any size, shape or texture.
ReplyDeleteI love your header!!! The stitched work came out so beautifully.
blessings, jill
OH yes! Very dangerous with me. My mom used to make home made ones. Oh my!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a hard - on the sweet front chocolate. Wishing you a good weekend.
ReplyDeletehmmm my kryptonite is many different things.... it depends on the day:))
ReplyDeleteI have to tell you that I forgot you have another blog and when your comment to me came from that one, I thought you were new. Sometimes I am just not with it! Old age, I guess:) Your header is so pretty and so is your new project. I love anything chocolate and frozen cokes, of all things.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteMy kryptonite is pretty similar. Chocolate in almost any form and stitching stash, especially hand dyed threads and fabrics. However, I also have to add Game Boy games, I love my Game Boy.
Seeing your new embroidery work, I think you have selected the third picture from previous post! All the best:)
ReplyDeleteI do not have any Idea about kryptonites, so no say in that!
Hello Kathleen,
ReplyDeleteKryptonite looks just yummy!
It seems to me that a new cushion is coming along too beautifully!
Wishing you a very happy weekend!

Much of my stash is my kryptonite, but especially all my loose beads and my lace...oh, and anything chocolate. I guess I have a lot of weaknesses so I'll stop here. Connie
ReplyDeleteI have no resistance to fabric. I have closets full of fabric. Another weakness is embroidery patterns. I have boxes full of transfers but never enough. I always have to acquire more embroidery floss. I have over 5000 skeins yet I buy more.
ReplyDeleteIn my favor, I share gladly with anyone who sews or embroiders.
It is nice to read the comments about fabric and floss stashers...I was afraid I was alone..oh well! I love old lace, old roses, decaf coffee with half and half, sewing, painting...oops-too many, huh? (there's more!)
ReplyDeleteO my what are you stitching, It looks like the beginning of something very nice..o I can't wait to see..Happy Sunday with love Janice
ReplyDeleteI can SO relate to your chocolate-covered cherry addiction!!! Thank goodness they aren't usually available year round in our area!!! I really enjoy your love of stitching, your photography and your humor. Read your blog regularly.
