it's not my embroidery book...........yet
When I posted this on my sidebar and on my farm blog............some of you emailed me with congratulations on getting my embroidery "out there". I write for magazines..........off and on........and this particular magazine article was aimed for their topic......Self Rising. No, it's not about flour or bread..........it's a whole new twist. For you creative souls............I think you will like the read.
Many have told me they are not familiar with this magazine. It can be found in Tractor Supply and in Barnes and Nobles. My article is on page 24 of the Keeping In Touch Section of this Self Rising Dec/Jan Issue 2012
Sorry for the confusion.
I guess I am just not ready to let go of the Fall season
It is my favorite season
. The fields are still full of golden grain.........
The trees are still wearing their leafy dresses of red, yellow and gold.
I had one more empty grape vine wreath............and instead of decorating it with holly and berries...........
I decorated it with the grain and the colorful leaves.
It's so pretty against the green farm house.............don't you think?
But I am getting into the Christmas spirit............
I gathered pine cones and evergreen and made this wreath ...........for now
I am about to haul the tree in and give it my attention.
How about you?
Are some of you dragging your feet to welcome winter's arrival?
Have you gotten your tree trimmed and your stockings hung?
I would love to see and hear!
I really like the wreath with the grains and grasses. It's so warm here that it makes it difficult to get into the Christmas spirit.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on being featured in MJF. I have been a long time fan of that magazine, though I have cut back and haven't seen this issue. Now I will have to get it! Your wreaths are very pretty. I especially like the one with oak(?)leaves.
ReplyDeleteI just about have all my decorating done. Now on to the shopping, wrapping...:)

ReplyDeleteOh yes-I have a few years worth of that magazine on my book shelves-I love it. I had that issue in my hands, and didn't buy it-but now I will! Your wreaths are so lovely.
ReplyDeleteI have not done a stitch of decorating yet....
Love that magazines. It's great that you are a contributor to publications. A stepping stone to greater things waiting for you. Your wreaths are both so lovely. It's rather warm here today -- not winter like at all. Happy holidays! Tammy
ReplyDeleteLovely fall photos and wreath...I'm like you, sometimes it's difficult to stop enjoying fall. It is my favorite time of year as well. Here, we are basically having early fall with these mid-70s temps, but they have promised it will be 55 on Monday! I'm torn...I still have a decent little garden, and when the temps go down I have to cover everything at night and that's always extra work! :-) But, I can't have it both ways! :-)
ReplyDeleteI will go to Barnes & Noble and buy the magazine! I didn't know where to get it! You and I have so much in common! I wish we could meet someday.
By the way, I haven't purchased the adapter I need yet to use the memory stick with my new computer, but will be getting one this week. I appreciated your advice so much!
I have seen one issue of that magazine. I bought it at Barnes and Nobles. It is colorful and well written. Congratulations,
ReplyDeleteJudy
