Among the linens I have........... waiting to be embroidered,

I have quite a few pillowcases that are missing one of the pair.
I have been given these by friends and have picked up a few in shops along the way. Always looking for a match to make a pair with. However,

just one really does serve a purpose. Through the years, a friend will stop by to spend a few days..........a retreat to come to................
away from the hurried pace of life.
I love to have embroidered guest towels in the bath,
embroidered napkins at the table,
and embroidered bed linens,
to make them feel welcome and special.

One guest only needs one pillowcase to rest on. So I always embroider these and stack them in the linen closet..........waiting for a friend to visit.

This pillowcase had such a lovely design, I could not resists taking needle and thread to it.
How about you?
Do you have a single pillowcase in need of embroidery?
Come on...........grab a needle and some floss............
get to stitching!
you might just have a friend to come visit one day!

  2. This is gorgeous. You always do incredible work.
Who would not feel special visiting you and enjoying a beautifully stitched pillowcase as this?
I love the design and love embroidered cases. I have many from my mom and grandma and those I have stitched too. In fact, I have a pair I am working on now all in black and white to go in my toile bedroom.

    Wishing you a wonderful week.
    Hugs, CM

  7. Thank you Kathy B. for asking about the Header. And yes, it is one of my designs. You also asked about the feather in a previous post.......yes, that is one of my designs as well. I am currently working on an embroidery design book in which these designs will be in. If you can wait a little longer, hopefully, I can get it publsihed. Someone else has approached me about selling my designs individually, and I am thinking on that. If I decide to do so, I will contact you. Thank you again, blessins, Kathleen

  9. Lucky guest, to be able to sleep on your beautiful pillowcase! And, come to think of it, I do have one pillowcase, stamped, waiting for floss. There just seems to never be enough time to do it all.

  13. Kathleen, this is such a pretty pillowcase. I like the way you mixed the embroidery and cross stitch together on the sweet design...nice effect.

Oh, I do dream of the day that I have the kind of home that dear ones will enjoy coming and visiting..a place that says "welcome" and one in which they feel truly at home and comfortable in. I think it's nice that your home is like that.

    Blessings,
    Marianne xo
