Your work continues to amaze me! It is so wonderful that you can draw your own patterns from things you see around your home.
I spend a lot of time alone and working on my quilts and sewing are my companionship I suppose. I like to think the things I make will be a joy to someone in days to come.
My 16 year old son would say that grasshopper was anything less than inspiring. He hates bugs. Ha! You are able to capture your surroundings so beautifully in stitches. I need free time to feel really creative. And that usually only happens on the weekends right now. But come June, I'll be free, free, free. Best wishes, Tammy
Wow! I'm just getting back to embroidery and other stitching. Who knows where ideas pope into my head come from. I think I am inspired by other's work and then it just takes on a mind of its own. xx, Carol
He is an amazing creature and you've captured him in thread beautifully! I also love bugs. Birds and dogs inspire me-colors, patterns. God has made a lot of beautiful things!
Only you could so accurately replicate a critter like this in stitch. I rather like him (even though I always dread to see his kind show up in my garden).
Looks so great! I get a lot of my inspiration from the childhood illustrations from books that I post on Pinterest. So many awesome childhood themes! Nature always inspired me when I was doing tiles, and also in my paintings, but seems like all I want to do are fanciful children's themes these days!
Helo my dear, You do such amazing things with that needle and thread.. I just love it.. I'm sorry that I haven't gotten back to you.. but I will so much has been going on. I hope you are doing well.. Happy Mother's Day with love Janice

You did GREAT!
ReplyDeleteI've done a zebra longwing butterfly with firebush flowers from a photo of mine. That was fun. You've just inspired me to do some more.
