Blossoms and Butterflies

Even without much rain, the flowers on the grounds are blooming and filling the air with their herbal fragrance! Such pretty colors are beginning to show.
Inside the greenhouse as well, blossoms are bursting forth.

The shamrock is about to bloom it's faint pink blossom.

A few weeks ago, this was the beginning of the miniature daffodils I have planted in containers in the greenhouse.

Now they have grown and I can't wait to see their cheery blooms!

Butterflies are everywhere, darting back and forth from flower to flower.

Do you have any house plants are outdoor plants that are announcing spring's return? I would love to hear!

Our azaleas are in riotous bloom, and I have some pretty little violets that look a lot like your pretty little purple flowers. What are yours?

Ah, spring is in the air. All of the pretty colors remind me of Easter. Spring is so pretty with all of the purples, pinks, and spring greens.

It is still pretty cold here but our daffodils are up and my primroses are blooming. The bees are out during the afternoon so I hope there is enough food for them.

You have a greenhouse, we hope to have one soon. Do you start and grow many plants in your greenhouse?

Nothing here yet.  I think it will be a while before I see anything blooming in our garden.  Usually I would be enjoying spring flowers in the UK now, but here in Sweden we are still under snow.  The butterflies will be even later, but when they do come they are gorgeous and I follow them round trying to capture them on camera.

Hi everyone...Muddling Through...the purple flowers are called Stalk flower. I think they should have a prettier name, but that is what everyone around here calls them. They have a beautiful herbal fragrance that can be smelled several feet away. They also grow all year long, staying green and good drought resistant plants. Their stems grow to be wood like limbs. Very tough! They bloom from February through April and put on a lot of seed. KathyB, my husband bought me a greenhouse last year,....I'm just now learning. I sprout a lot of plants, but here in Texas it starts getting too hot to keep any thing in it by June. Also, because there are many gaps where it is put together, it gets very cold and some plants froze this winter. I still have much to learn. Good luck with yours! Thanks to all of you who commented! blessings,Kathleen
