Do you ever find that you are so involved with your creating, that once you stop and look around you, it seems that your creating has taken over not only your creative space, but the living room and the bedroom............even the dining room table?? Look at the following photo..........this is Boo, saying........."we have to talk..........not one more stitch!"
That's what's happened to me. It all started when I looked up to see a large cobweb hanging on the ceiling............I look over to see dust bunnies on top of my sewing lamp................snips of floss lying in a path from my creative space to the bedroom...........and then..............it happened.............snips of floss hanging off of Boo's tail..........and then.................hanging off the back of my husband's shirt!..........as he was walking by!!!! I grabbed my duster and it looked like a Texas wind storm.........inside of my living room! And then...........my motor kicked in.............I pulled out boxes of my material stash, mixed- matched linens waiting to be embroidered.......(and organized) and instead of getting one stitch done............I organized everything! Now, my linens are folded and sorted........waiting for color........my material is in boxes for quilting, sewing, and crafting. And now I can start letting those snips fly and cling all over again!
Can you relate? I would love to hear!

Oh so true..I know exactly what you are saying
Oh Kathleen, you had me laughing so hard, Mr. Wonderful had to come see what the laughing was about. I read what you wrote, and his one eyebrow went up. I say, I know, I know.
Sounded like you wrote about our place at this very moment.
Blessings,
Jilly
my house is always in chaos!!! but i wouldn't trade it for the world.
I wanted to say how much I appreciate your comments. Thank you for sharing with me about your homeschool experience. It encourages me to know that I'm not the only parent that has ever struggled with these decisions. Your friendship has been a blessing to me, Kathleen.
Kathleen,
Oh, how I can relate..being a fabric collector has turned our home more into a "studio" with a sitting room and bedroom..hehehe
With Thomas home full time now we are getting after it (at last!!) It's really been too overwhelming for only me to tackle by myself.
I hope in the next month to post pictures of some form of organization on the lower level..that's where I'll have a second room that houses most of the fabric and my big 4x8 foot cutting table.
I still have lots to do in my studio upstairs too..that's where my all of my supplies, desk, computer, ironing board, diecut machine and sewing machines live.
Good grief...never a dull moment! I did counted cross stitch for many years so I can kind of relate to you looking up and seeing strands and bits of floss everywhere. :0) I'm glad you got all organized...it does feel good when that happens.
Thanks for coming over for a visit..I'm always happy to hear from you.

Hi Kathleen...
My stuff was all over the house, and then last week I took over the largest spare bedroom which still isn't that big. BUT I really don't care how stacked the buckets are or how full the drawers and closets are as long as it is my room and I can close the door. I love just going into the room and playing with my fabrics and papers and whatever else I put in there. My cat may be under the bed, and my Pom..Tillie...is always at my feet, so it is a nice place to spend my time. I did made the middle of the closet a play area for when a granddaughter is over. I put the doll house and toys there. That way they can play while I play. I also hope that they will grow up and remember my sewing room and even join me in the sewing when they want.
Kathleen, How old is your cat. She looks almost exactly like mine, and mine is 22 years old.
Oh boy, can I ever relate! Hope your computer woes are ended soon - looking forward to seeing the bluebird piece finished! Beautiful stitching, Kathleen, as always...
Hi Kathleen,
I posted a picture of my cat today..and I showed my husband your cat here, and he also thinks they look very much alike. Even the two lines around their upper chest/arms. Anyways, they must be distant cousins!!!
