and I found myself wanting to buy one of every color! I am slowly, ............and I do mean slowly,.................creating a flower garden that I am hoping will stand the test of time. Roses are one of the kinds of flowering plants that I am incorporating into the garden's design.
Where would we be without the beauty of roses?
They wave to us in the warm spring air,
they are our most welcomed guest at our dinner table. Who can resist china adorned with roses?? I know I can't!
And for me..................how can I not stitch them................constantly! Embroidering roses is a way for me to .............garden inside!

Pale pink and salmon roses always tug at my heart....................I think I will chose the colors that are in the china in the previous photo to embroider this design..................

Hi Kathleen, What a beautiful and uplifting post! Oh, I love roses. We "inherited" many from the previous owner and my favorite is a bright yellow rose. Can't wait to see your embroidery piece. A blog friend recently sent me a cross stitch of roses that her daughter made; it's in shades of pink. I hope you will have a very nice weekend.

Its hard for me to pick a favorite color of roses. And I love the wild ones too. I think I like the shades of pink.

For real roses Im in love with Double Delights. I love the creamy white edged in a reddish pink edging. Otherwise i love soft pink roses or lavender.
Whether real roses or embroidered tho, I tend to go for those kinds of colors.
