especially with little rabbits wearing jackets.
This set is from the little magazine
Workbasket...............do you remember this?
I think it was popular in the late 60's throughout the 80's??
I have had this cheery fabric on hand for a while now,
and I think this fabric goes well
with the transfers I have just embroidered. There is a little poodle that I am still working on. I am thinking about making a baby coverlet with all of this.............
what do you think??

Oh how very sweet this will be! The transfers are precious!
I have several copies of Workbasket, some I think are older than the 60s; if they weren't packed way down under crates of scraps I'd look. lol The old ones were in some things that belonged to a great-aunt. I wonder if it is still published.
Amazingly cute! What will you make from these and the fabric that goes with it? A baby quilt perhaps?
These little embroideries are so cute! My mother used to get the Workbasket magazine, at the time I didn't have that much interest in it, now I wish I had saved her magazines for the embroidery transfers they had. Thinking about these magazines makes me feel nostalgic!
So sweet and so vintage.
Your blog looks beautiful, Kathleen! I love it!
Hi Kathleen, I remember Workbasket. My Grandma used to save them for me. I love your little guys and the fabric you have paired them up with. Thanks for the encouragement while I was gone. It meant a lot.
Love it! The combination of olde world fabric and vintage stitcheries is perfect!
Loved the little rabbit & the fabric too!
Kathleen, the baby coverlet will be most adorable! The transfers are so cute, and so reminiscent of simpler times.
I love the fabric which matches the embroidered transfers perfectly. I can't wait to see it. You are most clever and talented!!
Blessings,
Marianne
I think they're beautiful, and a little coverlet with these in it should be delightful.
My Grandma used to get it when I was little,. She taught me how to sew, and we would spend hours pouring over issues and talk about what would be a fun project to do. Some of my best memories I have with my Grandma.
Kathleen,
These are so amazingly cute. I love how you stitched them up and how you finished off the blanket. Would you mind terribly telling which issue of Workbasket Magazine you found these transfers in? I'd love to stitch them up for my nephew and his wife who are expecting their first baby.
Hi Kathleen, I just found your blog and have been having fun reading and playing catch up on all the older posts. I absolutely love the little animals you stitched up and how you created this lovely blanket. I too remember my mother reading Workbasket Magazine. By any chance would you mind telling which issue of the magazine you found these transfers in?
