from a few days of welcoming rain
. On days such as this, I spend a lot of my stitching time out on the front porch. Since I live far away from the noise of city streets and the only neighbors I have are coyote and bobcats............
the porch is a quiet and welcomed retreat to get lost in stitches,
plans, dreams, and designs.
Inspiration is all around me.
How about you? Where do you like to escape to when the day and conditions are just right?
What inspires you the most?
I would love to hear!

I am getting envious with the weather conditions!
Today is around 37-38C, 100.4F over here and I desperately miss the rainy days :((
As per my inspiration sphere, once I was getting inspired by different places and cultures. Now, - I am getting older - I am inspiring by the vintage life style...
By the way, your porch is so impressive for me too; to sit, to relax and to create something new...
Hurrah for the cooler weather! Just a bit cooler here, upper 90s.
I go to my sewing room to work, since we live on a dirt road the dust is too bad to be outside, especially in the drought. I like to quilt while it's raining ~ sigh ~
Your porch looks so nice and peaceful. Sometimes I like to join the kitties out in their cat shelter that's built onto the back of our house. If the weather is good I can get some stitching done there and the cats keep me company!
We are "Hot" "Dry" and "Humdi"
had several wonderful days of overcast-skies,Looking forward to
the Fall season of gardening.
What inspired me turning re-purpose useable Vintage into Re-Sellable treasures,Love Sewing,
Needle Work,Hand Stitching..Painting is a passion..
Love all your beautiful Work of Art such talent you have...
The weathermen forecasting for Northern Indiana make me laugh. Tomorrow a cool front is moving in. The hi temps will be in the 90s. No matter what the weather is, we always find something to complain about.
I love my house when its just Terry and I (the kids are back now for a short time). I sew in "my" room, stitch in my recliner which is next to Terry's. A quiet moment of inspiration can always be found on the front deck or seated (or weeding) by the pond. I connect with my inner self by the pond. Its the BEST place.

Your porch sound like a wonderful place.
I go to my fort. It's my creative space, a room of my own. Right now the window is wide open and the coolest breeze is blowing through.
coyote and bobcats, we have lots of those here in our little town on the out skirts , coyote came up on a neighbors porch late one night not to long ago. I just love your needle work, Tink
I would adore sitting on your front porch to stitch away!
Hello Kathleen...I've been away from the computer for a few days with guests.
It's been much cooler here, too, with rain and clouds. Such a nice change.
When it's very quiet I like to sit by a window just breathe, or read scripture and find solace and joy in an expectant heart.
Joy to you,
Marianne xo
I wish I could come sit on the porch with you and stitch the day away. I'd probably learn a thing or two ... or a lot! :) It is hot and so very humid here. I went out to sweep the stairwell and came back in a sopping mess. Now that I've showered, I don't want to do much else. Hope your day is fabulous. Tammy
You have a beautiful blog, I found your clothesline mention and your sidebar photo is awesome. Yours stitches are also! I need to learn to sit still and do handwork. I am also trying to learn to crochet! Smiles, Cyndi
The projects you work on are always so incredibly beautiful!!
I surely wish I had a porch. Well we had a front door patio...but I have to share it will a neighbor who is kind of not so clean and it stinks...so the good part is I have the Garden to myself so that's where I escape to. One in a while I can crochet there..Like today would have been a good day..But I'm at Mom's visiting with her and keeping her company...happy Saturday with love Janice
