thanks to a dear friend who scooped them up and took them to show her co-workers,
who loved them..........
These past days I have been stitching flowers
butterflies,
birds,
and snowmen......all on rusted screen wire.
Pincushions have also been a favorite.
I am thrilled that a desire to use up my scrap material and old rusted screen has served a use for others to enjoy!
I also found the perfect vintage tree for my vintage shop.........
do any of you remember these ceramic trees?
A friend had given this to me years ago.........
and now it sweetly lights up a corner in my shop!
So tell me...........
have you gotten your holiday decorating done?
Are you busy painting, stitching, and creating those last minute gifts?
I would love to hear!

Hello Kathleen,
My oh my those little screens are just so wonderful, especially love the butterfly one.
Our tree is up and decorated, a new tree this year. It is looking good with all the home made decorations from bloggers from around the world.
Happy days.
Bev.
These really turned out pretty! I'm so happy for you! Not one sign of Christmas here ~ maybe I'm a Grinch :)2
I love you work!!...AND my mom had two of those trees... I never inherited any...but I found one at a garage sale down in Yuma... It is now our YUMA tree:))
The screens are so unique, it no wonder they are capturing attention!
Your screen stitching is innovative and beautiful :)
I LOVE your screens. I can see how they would fly out the door.
Here is a funny story for you. My daughter is 40. When she was small I made a ceramic tree for her room. After Christmas, we stored it away, but not where I would normally put Christmas decorations. We never could find that darned tree until she grew up and moved out. We found it in a closet space in her room that we NEVER got into. When she moved she took it with her. Then when Christmas came, she couldn't find it. And never did until she moved from her first house. I wonder where it is today ~lol~
Merry Christmas
Those screens are beautiful and I love the gorgeous pincushions!
Your screens are so adorable, especially the butterfly one. My mother made a ceramic tree many years ago. What memories that brings back!
Your screen stitches are all so lovely!
Love your wire stitching and the pincushions! I actually meant to buy a pincushion before now as a gift to myself and will do so. The ceramic tree! My Mom just gave hers to our daughter who remembered it from her childhood and asked if she could have it. It was missing several of the little bulbs. You don't by any chance have any extras you would be willing to sell me, or know where I might get some? We already checked Michaels. I think maybe etsy or ebay will be the only source, and I'm on a search! :-)
Don't have the star for the top either!
I love those screens! And the pincushions? You sell these in your shop?
Oh,Kathleen, it's been so long! I've been so busy with my job at the grocery store, I had to push my way into finding the energy to have a good Christmas and now new year. Your posts are wonderful, and your pincushions are absolutely gorgeous! I do hope your shop is doing well, and I wish you a very happy, healthy, and prosperous 2015.
Hugs and warm wishes,
Marianne xo
