the antique fence and blooms in different colors
I work my needle to create the perfect blooms on a linen tablecloth
It only takes a glance for me to get inspiration from nature
and to then try to interpret it from floss
and into stitch.
I just wish I could be as fast at making them bloom as they do in the garden!
Incredibly beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHi K
ReplyDeleteI like you stitched Morning Glories. They are one of my very favorite flowers. Any bell shaped flower captures my heart. For years I would buy seeds then forget to plant them. For the past few years I have remembered and planted DARK purple and DEEP blue shades. This year I forgot to put the little trellis up like I usually do. They wound themselves around a sticker bushy bush I have. They are very impressive....a big ball of flowers and vines. Maybe next year I'll try a fence!

What lovely stitching you are doing, inspired by your own growing morning glories.

This is so lovely-you are a fine artist!
ReplyDeleteYour stitching is exquisite!
ReplyDeleteI love all the additional stitching you do in your work besides just outlining something. You've certainly captured the beauty of the morning glories.
ReplyDeleteYour stitches are so nice! They look just like the real flower. And to take inspiration from your own flowers.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my mom's favourite flowers.Beautifully stitched.
ReplyDeleteYour embroidery work never ceases to amaze me!
ReplyDeletePerfectly lovely, once again, Kathleen! I love blue morning glories, and used to have them growing in my backyard along the fence of my former home. I miss them. Your tablecloth is a great way to bring them indoors. I know what you mean about how much time it takes to embroider...but it's well worth it.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you, my friend,
Marianne
Love, love, love !
