sewing machine that has been taking up space in my shop since the first day I opened.
Now that it is gone.........I once again have a "creative spot" to work my embroidery and design.
When I am in the middle of counted cross stitch or drawing out a design, I want to unplug and be away from the distraction of television or computer.
I have been spending much of my time here.........stitching the hours away.
I cannot believe it is already October. This is my favorite time of year.
However, it seems to be my busiest time of year.
There is so much to do to end the work of the grounds and
so much to do to start up the work for the holidays.
You might remember that I showed you a baby quilt that I made for my "great niece" that had not yet arrived?
Well............here she is........all in just 6 . 7 pounds.
Baby Taylee has now made me a " Great Aunt"!
So tell me..........what are you working on with fall time here?
Are you working on Christmas projects?
I would love to hear!
Also.......speaking of the holidays.....
I have found a wonderful pie .......perfect for the holiday table.
Cranberry Cheese Crumb Pie

Glad you sold the machine! The TV etc doesn't really distract me from stitching. I like to sit with Terry while he watches TV...shows I don't care about.. I can easily turn out the world. If I really want peace I go to my "room" and close the door. We all need solace and an area of our own.

You have such a pleasant peaceful spot for stitching now! The weather here has been so nice it's hard to stay inside but hopefully I'll get creative soon!
How special to have a quite working area. Mine is in the basement, but would LOVE to be by a window. I always feel so inspired when looking at nature.
Your stitcheries are so pretty....and so is the little baby!
The least important thing in my life is a television set! My hubby has a state of the art home theatre with giant screen, and I know he is disappointed that I don't spend more time in there with him, but I have always found watching t.v. such a waste of time (and the news is so depressing I refuse to watch that at all). So I only watch an occasional documentary on Foxtel, and I am not clever enough to do two things at once, as I can't concentrate on any kind of sewing and watch t.v. at the same time!
My craft room is at the other end of the house with a floor to ceiling window facing south west, so the light is fairly constant. No t.v., radio or computer, just peace and quiet :-)
I am making a Christmas table runner for a group exchange this year, and I've just finished a set of six placemats for someone who asked me to make them. I don't 'take orders' from people as a rule, but this man had seen something else I had made, and was quite insistent that he would pay me to make these placemats!
Sweet little one!!! What a lovely miracle she is! Glad you have that working space in your shop. That cranberry cheese crumb pie looks SOOO delicious!
