Another beautiful piece of embroidery. Your work is exquisite. I remember embroidering on cotton bleached flour bags which my mom would make into pillow cases. It was very common for young girls to embroider. How I loved the colorful embroidery floss. It was so relaxing to sit by the window and embroider. Alas, not too many girls embroider now a day. It's a beautiful art. Thanks for sharing.
It's raining today after a dry spell. It was much needed. Hugs, Julia
I appreciate the hard work and skill that it takes to create such a beautiful work of art. I just wish I could be there in person so I could examine every tiny stitch in detail. Your close-up pictures are my favorite.
Once I was visiting an antique quilt display at a big museum. As I was bending over closely examining the tiny stitches (with my reading glasses), behind my back I overheard alarms shrieking, footsteps running and a commanding voice addressing me, "Maam! Don't touch the exhibits."
Startled, I swung around to see a row of security guards surrounding me. I replied, "I didn't touch anything, sir! I am only admiring perfect stitches!"
They relaxed and replied, "Your breath set off the alarms."
I laughed too and promised, "I will not breathe again while in the museum.
