Gingham Embroidery

There is just something so soothing about gingham embroidery for me
I love counted cross stitch
but the gingham squares are a lot bigger and there is not so much worry
about keeping count as I do  with the linen and aida.
On late afternoons, when I am particularly tired, but still
want to stitch something pretty, I have turned my needle's
attention to this.
I'm feeling a little low.......yesterday I had to take my sweet Taboo to the vet and put him down.
He was a little over 10 years old and started getting ill. My heart is really missing him.

So tell me........what do you like to stitch......or create....
that is relaxing ?  I would love to hear.

Dear friend, I love your Gingham creations.
I totally understand and empathize in relation to your loss of your beloved Taboo. 💔

In January 2024 my beloved 10 and a half year old Tuxedo cat, Romeo, got sick...anemia. I also had him put down.
Sending you much love ❤️ and warm hugs 🫂 🤗

If you are able I suggest you get a rescue cat 🐈 not right away, but when you feel up to it. You will save a life and although no cat can replace the loss if Taboo, it will help to fill a void and give a cat who needs it a loving home.

I really like the embroidery on gingham. I think embroidery was my first creative love, which later moved on to quilting, then knitting, then handspinning, and now weaving. The fiber and textile arts combine creativity with productivity. Very rewarding.

I love your gingham embroidery. It makes for a happy background for your stitchery. I too love cross stitch and embroidery. I have just taken on a very long term project. I am determined to get it across the finish line. It's not really work when you love what you are working on. I am sad to read about your cat crossing into The Rainbow Ridge. Sounds like a very special cat.
