Hi, and welcome! The whole purpose of this blog is to share my passion for hand embroidery. I love hand embroidered linens throughout the home and I am always busy designing and stitching. This blog is to show what I am designing , working on, and dreaming about, and to share the love of embroidered stitching along the way with you! I love to hear and to see what others are creating. Enjoy your visit and please feel free to comment or email me if you would like to do so!

I have always loved embroidery designs with His, Hers, Yours, Mine, and...............

The words Mr.

and Mrs.  like this.............
do you??

Normally, this design would be meant for a set of pillowcases..................

But the carnations., scrolls and french knots..................

as well as the ribbon............caused  me to do something different with them..............

(click on images for a better view)
a set of towels..............for the newly wed..........
or for the guest bathroom. Although I am finished with the stitching, I am thinking about sewing a decorative fabric edging on the bottom.............
what do you think??

Remember this little towel I showed you a few post back?
I love this design............but it seemed to be so small on the bottom of the towel.

So I decided to embroider these sweet little rose buds

all along the bottom half of the towel. It is different, but it is a kind of different I like.
It gives it a nostalgic/shabby chic/ look to it..........
don't you think??
How about you?
Do you tend to start adding small things here or there to a design?
Do you paint them or stitch them on?
Do you enjoy embroidered towels in the bathroom?
I would love to hear!

I've never had a monogrammed anything, maybe it's time! When I embroider, I love to fill in with little flowers and french knots.

I thought that may e the Mr and Mrs towels for the newlyweds were dish towels, that would be good to see if the mister used his. Beautiful work.

The monograms are really pretty! And I like the tiny flowers placed around the other one. It really is shabby chic:)

Kathleen, that towel is absolutely beautiful! The rosebuds are perfect! And yes, I do tend embellish a design with extra details as I go along. I think that's one of the most fun parts of embroidery!
