gathering inspiration

Hello everyone, hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I spent this weekend, working on a tablecloth for a dear friend. I really want to get it finished as she has just moved into a new home... a great house warming gift. Several have asked me about my esty shop... I would love to have one. My work is very slow in finishing, so it takes me a good long while to have things ready for sale. The things I have completed are usually sold to existing customers who are acquainted through the years with my work and are usually wanting to see what I have next. However, I have made myself an "etsy shop box" in which I am trying to finish one thing a month to place in there to get ready to "open shop" as they say{: . The previous posts showing the pillow cases and coaster sets are some of the items waiting. While I worked outside this weekend, I stopped to take pictures of the newest blooming flowers. They are such good inspiration for design and color in my embroidery. As it is getting warmer, the crawly creatures start showing themselves. I have found such beauty in spider webs and colorful bugs. Nature offers such a beautiful palette to work with.

I too want to work in my garden soon., but first I have another big project - that of cleaning the garage - then I'll move on to the fun stuff.

How are things your way? When will school be out?

Keep up the good work on your stitching. Before you know it your shop will come togethr.

I enjoy your tidbits of information that gives us a peek into your farm life.

Keep up the good work!

I'm so glad you're planning on having an ETSY shop, Kathleen!
This is going to be a busy week for me, too... I probably won't be on the computer much, but I hope you have a wonderful week, and don't work too hard! LOL

The flowers are beautiful...I just love this time of year.
I'm sure the tablecloth will be lovely; what a fortunate friend! Your work is just outstanding.
I have to tell you, too, that the song on your blog, "Less of Me," was so good to hear; I needed that today.

After two days of 60 degree weather here in MI, I have about 2 inches of tulip plants showing. Hurrah!

Love the geraniums! Always good to go to the work of the Master for inspiration. Your needlework is indeed art and best to maintain the quality rather than rush to produce more. Will enjoy when you open an etsy shop - fun to Windows shop (bad pun - sorry - but since I use a PC - the Windows reference was irrestistible). Have a beautiful day - rainy and windy here - need the rain as always.
