I cannot count my day complete

Sharing a common thread with those who love the art of hand embroidery

I still have a few things to share and post.......so I will not wait until the new year begins......

I am back.
Today is the last day of fall...........my goodness, it seems like it did
not last long enough!  Tomorrow winter starts.........
I agree with Edith Sitwell's words............
Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.”

Although the days here are still warm and pleasant,
I still enjoy the colder days that will soon come.
It is a time to find my needle and to stitch the day away.
How about you?
How do you spend your cold winter days?
Do you have fun outside in the snow?
Do you sit beside a cozy fire and read?
I would love to hear!

I've always wanted a fireplace-one that I could cook in, or bake bread. So-I sit by my radiator in my studio, and draw, paint, stitch. I am so thankful for the luxury of being able to do those things. God is very good! Merry Christmas, and a lovely, happy New Year!

I spend cold winter weekends hooking rugs and enjoying a warm fireplace with the smells of apple and other woods. Weekdays I have to work. :-( Janice

It was rainy here yesterday and I stayed home and puttered.....and had a cup of tea. But for the most part, winter is when we can get outside more here in Florida. So I'm hiking more and since it gets dark early. reading more in the evenings. Holiday hugs ☃️

New followerer here... I also love the hand arts, knitting, sewing, embroidery, and quilting. I just knitted some little miniature dresses and I learned to do the bullion roses to put on the front of them. I love how they come out and can't wait to do many more after Christmas when I have more time. Have a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
