Vintage transfers, floss and linens

are scattered over my work table this week as I prepare them for embroidery.

I have taken on a business venture with a friend in Dallas, who is selling my embroidered

linens in a booth in an antique gallery. She and I have been talking and dreaming of having a shop together for the past 2 years...........we just live so far apart that it has not come together.

Recently she came into this idea and it has proven to be a great way to sell her items as well as my linens.
Right now I am in the middle of embroidering hand towels . I plan to make a few for my online Etsy shop as well.

Salem, my color and floss consultant, is enjoying every moment of inspecting the floss being prepared for this work. I think he likes yellow the most!

Such Beautful work you do.Your pieces have the vintage charm, Just a picture of them framed would be nice. I don't think many people even know how to do this kind of needle work any more. It's an Art that needs preserving for sure. Have a week now. Tink

Kathleen, I am so glad to call you friend (It helps the image as I am clueless when it comes to embroidery) hehe.

I had forgot about your Etsy shop, so I am going window shopping.

Blessings and keep up the good work.
Doris

Oh, Kathleen, I'm so tickled that something has evolved to get your beautiful embroidery out there for sale. And getting in or near a big city is so much better. I wish you and your friend much success and prosperity. ♥

Thanks so much for leaving me a comment.

Have a wonderful day,
Stephanie Suzanne ♥

I am so excited for you! I knew it would be just a matter of time before you found a way to do what you love and make it "work" for you! Your work is too beautiful for you to not be successful. Congratulations!

Those are beautiful embroideries, Kathleen, and seeing those wonderful patterns makes me want to get my needle out! Salem is looking gorgeous, too!

Your embroidered hand towels are beautiful! Everything you make is! Oh Salem, you be a good kitty and stay away from that floss! (I just know my little black cat would cause mayhem if left alone with a pile of floss or yarn.)

This will be wonderful, Kathleen!! Your work is so very pretty I'm sure the shop will be a success.

Could you give us a look at the back of your work so we can see how you handle the beginning and ending of your thread? Do you knot or weave it under stitches?

I love the things you do and I am happy that you have found another outlet for your work. I love to embroider but I don't know many stitches nor what kind of fabric to do them on.
